Ceramics If you are looking for a fun, creative outlet, try one of our ceramic classes. It provides a great way to get away and meet friends, all while making some unique projects for yourself or gifts for others. Class meets from 9:30 a.m.-noon, 1-3:30 p.m. and 6:30-9 p.m. Tuesdays at the Civic Auditorium. Cost is $5 per class or save by paying for entire session in advance. For preschoolers ages 2 and older, this class is a fun way for children to explore movement through music, develop physical skills, channel energy and communicate feelings. It provides children with opportunities for non-competitive success and creative experiences. Through movement, children learn about their bodies, the space around them and each other. Learn the fundamentals of photography and how to get the most out of your camera. Learn in a fascinating and fun way to become informed and inspired. Yoga can help soothe the mind and lower stress levels by focusing the mind on the moment and movements rather than on external distractions. Yoga combines flexibility, strength training and balance to create a mind and body activity that’s a perfect addition to any fitness regimen. Beginner Core Strength Hatha Yoga class will be taught at a slower pace, giving time for questions and gentle adjustments. The class will promote proper anatomical alignment and movements and poses that start from the Core Muscle Meridian, from which Core Strength derives, for maximum benefits from each pose. Cabin Fever Scrapbook Sessions We are offering three all-day scrapbooking sessions on Saturdays: Winter Blues on Jan. 11, Super Bowl on Feb. 1 and Irish Luck on March 8. Each session runs from 8 a.m.-10 p.m. on the lower level of the Civic Auditorium.
These are bare bones scrapbooking sessions, with no demos or frills. Bring all of your supplies, pictures and tools. Outlets are available, with plenty of table space to work. Bring your own drinks, lunch and snacks. Evening meal provided for $5 extra. During the Feb. 1 session, an all-day ceramics will be offered in the Ceramics Room (same price and time; fee does not include greenware).

Easter Plate Class Our Ceramics staff is offering a special Easter Plate class, allowing participants to personalize their own 9-inch plate. The class takes place Tuesday, March 11, from either 1-3 p.m. or 6-8 p.m. in the Ceramics Room on the lower level of the Civic Auditorium. The cost is $10 (includes plate, paints, brushes and instruction) and space is limited.
