  2. 21st Annual Sunflower Fair

    The Sunflower Fair in beautiful, historic Downtown La Porte is one of the largest area festivals with over 100 craft and nonprofit vendors.   4. La Porte Chain of Lakes Paddling Event

    September 21, 2019, 9:00 AM @ Stone Lake Beach

    The 10th annual La Porte Chain of Lakes boat trek takes place at 9 a.m. Saturday, September 21, at Stone Lake Beach. Following registration and orientation, canoes and kayaks will launch near the beach house. This year, Wilderness Inquiry will be onsite with its voyager canoes, offering boating instructions and rides. The event, which is sponsored by La Porte County Conservation Trust and Northwest Indiana Paddling Association, concludes with a potluck dinner at 4 p.m.

  6. 6th ANNUAL UMW FALL ARTS & CRAFTS SHOW

    This event features over 100 artists and crafters from Illinois, Indiana and Michigan who specialize in making unique, one-of-a-kind products. All booths are inside three modern, handicapped accessible buildings. Visitors will find inside home décor items, outside yard ornamentation, original artwork, photography, sports-oriented items, floral arrangements, hand-turned wooden creations, accessories for adults and children, hand-crafted furniture, pet accessories, country and farmhouse décor, baskets, decorated gourds, rustic signs, and much more. Both fall and Christmas decorations will be showcased. Tasty desserts and lunch will be available for purchase. You don't want to miss this event. Parking and entry is free.
