The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is available to eligible employees to provide professional, confidential assistance for any type of personal problem. The service is provided by New Avenues
Employees and their families are eligible for four free counseling sessions per year.

NorthShore Health Center

NorthShore's Health Center services and most prescriptions dispensed from NorthShore are FREE if you are an employee or a dependent on the City of La Porte health insurance plan. NorthShore has 15 locations throughout Northwest Indiana and we are able to use all of them.

Life Insurance

Equitable Group Life Insurance - The City of La Porte provides a $50,000 Life and $50,000 Accidental Death and Dismemberment Policy on all eligible employees. The cost of the plan is fully paid by the City.
